Goodbye 2014

Yes, I know it isn’t Friday, but I wanted to knock out one more post before we say hello to 2015. 2015. Just typing that seems a bit odd, and by odd I mean, why aren’t we driving flying cars by now?

Since my last post, a spot-on preview of an Iron Bowl where points would be at a premium, Jack and I went to Gatlinburg with my dad while Layne and Leah saw the Rockettes in Nashville, we had either the 18th or 19th annual Old School Christmas Party (I think it’s 18), UAB killed it’s football program, we saw Elf at the historic Alabama Theater (tickets go on sale in September), we’ve had Christmas, and we’ve celebrated my birthday. Mix in the family gatherings, school Christmas programs and a surprise birthday party and it was a busy month.

I’ve got to go in to the office this morning in my non-flying car and do some work before the end of the year, but I wanted to take a moment this morning and say thanks for the incredible year. You guys are better readers that I am a writer, but every post was shared and liked and I can’t thank you enough for your engagement this year.

So, without any of the implied or perceived insincerity of “bless your heart“, thank you for a great 2014 and Happy New Year to you and your family!

2015. Let’s GO!
